AHHH and other poems
AHHH!
Silent Madness
the corners of your mind,
closing in, pounding, screaming, paining
and frustrating, you seem perfectly
normal in the day, but when the
sun hides and you are alone,
the quiet sneaks in like a prowler
all you can do is just
let go and watch and let
the walls close in on you.
guilt, rememberance, hope and faith
all running around and bouncing each
other in you mind, until you lay
back and pray it was all a dream
FEARED
Trying to hide
your shame, nakedness
not of the flesh, but
of the soul of the spiritual
being inside you. Cover eyes
hide them, afraid that they
speak the truth that won’t
come from you lips.
Keeping ears prepared to
hear what they say about you,
but you’ll break yourself,
for what is inside is too
great for you to control,
so you set it free to enslave
another.
